Born
and raised in Roanoke, Virginia, Angie Wiggins was in the seventh
grade when she won first place in an art show. It was a
watercolor still life of wine bottles. Her choice of
media may have changed, but her passion to create has remained a
constant.
Angie
went on to receive a BFA in Fine Crafts from James Madison University in
Harrisonburg, Virginia the very first year that it was awarded.
Over the years she has taken dozens of workshops in all sorts of media.
Handmade paper and polymer clay are the media central to her work.
Throughout
her career, Angie has run her own gallery/studio in New Orleans,
exhibited in regional galleries and art shows, made holiday ornaments
for both the White House and the Virginia governor's mansion, and has
taught classes to students of all ages. Angie has been privileged to
have her work published in various books and magazines.
Angie
lives in Powhatan, Virginia with her husband, Donnie Caffery, where she
enjoys gardening, chicken farming, cooking, great company, hiking out
west, and exploring other parts of the world.

I
was taught to embroider at the age of five.
I have been a detail freak ever since.
"A
joyful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."
Proverbs 17:22
